Were told in SOP that Jesus stands above Adam in height in heaven. We know that Adam was twice as tall as modern man.
There are times in the Bible when it is obvious to people that it is Jesus like in the fiery furnace.
But then there are other times when people cannot distinguish Him from other men.
Joshua 5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
Genesis 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
when Jesus was incarnated He was probably the stature of the common man.

The Bible says of Christ during the Incarnation that He was "made in the likeness of men" and that He was "found in fashion as a man" (Philippians 2:7-8).
Ellen White writes somewhere that Jesus was a bit taller than his disciples.
That's an interesting question about whether he appears as different sizes humans to people.
I believe he does, as he was obviously of a similar, probably higher stature than Adam, whom Ellen White writes was 15 to 18 feet tall (first humans were 15 to 18 feet tall). And as you interestingly point out, Joshua and Jacob didn't see Jesus as being exceptionally tall.
Ellen White also writes that in heaven, before the saints enter, they stand in a square and Jesus is head and shoulders taller than any of them.
My best guess is that Jesus will be 25 - 30 feet tall in heaven, but maybe he will make himself a bit shorter when we first get there to not overawe us.
