The Rise of 'Feminine Power'

These are sobering times. A mythological character has been chosen to be the honorary ambassador for the UN. If Hillary Clinton is elected as president of the United States, will we see a continued rise of so called 'feminine power'?

I don't even know how to tell my family that I don't support women's ordination in the Adventist church. There is just so much emotion attached to such issues these days. (Especially when issues are conflated e.g. women's ordination and slavery). I doubt that my views would even be listened to.

"Comic book heroine Wonder Woman is to be named as a new honorary ambassador for the United Nations (UN).

The character will be used to promote messages about women's empowerment and gender-based violence, the UN said." http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-37645131

"It turns out this character was created by a man who lived in an open triad relationship, invented the polygraph (or lie detector), and was an avowed feminist who went far beyond the ideas of female emancipation in his day." http://www.patheos.com/blogs/panmankey/2016/08/wonder-woman-resurgence-of-feminine-power-or-patriarchal-lap-kitten/

Somehow it seems appropriate that a comic book figure is representing the United Nations...

This is what they do best

They ( the UN ) seek to damage, reframe, fog, transform the belief system of everyone on the planet, the way God fearing Asia of 2500 BC was changed to the Lords many and gods many of today.
