I have spent a lot of time in Thailand. I appreciate what a significant time of grief the Thai people are experiencing due to the death of their beloved king and father figure. Let's pray that this will be an opportunity for witnessing and drawing people toward their true God and Father.
I lived around a year and a half in Thailand too. It is hard for those who have never been there to understand how the Thai people revere him. When I said it would be great if he accepted Jesus, some Thai SDAs basically say that it didn:t matter if he accepted Christ or not, as he was King.
My concern is that there will be much turmoil in the wake of his death. Many people don:t realize that Thailand is the base for many Christian ministries in SE Asia, as their laws are not strict against Christians.
I:ve been praying every day for the last 8 years or so for the President of America, Emperor of Japan, and King of Thailand to repent and come to Jesus.
Let:s pray that the Thai people will wake up to eternal realities that even a king can die, and come to Christ, who alone can give eternal life.
