One week ago, last Sabbath, we had a very interesting meeting. Brother Hewit from Dead River was there. He came with a message to the effect that the destruction of the wicked and the sleep of the dead was an abomination within a shut door that a woman Jezebel, a prophetess, had brought in and he believed that I was that woman, Jezebel. We told him of some of his errors in the past, that the 1335 days were ended and numerous errors of his. It had but little effect. His darkness was felt upon the meeting and it dragged. {Lt28-1850}
Broadside #2 1849/01/31: I saw that Michael had not stood up, and that the time of trouble, such as never was, had not yet commenced.
Been trying for 10 years at least to show SDA people that Daniel 12 is not in the past... when I first read Daniel 12, it was very clear to me it was future, but when I posted these things, persecution started from within and still continues today...I've been banned from many sites because of that one posting.
Twice Daniel inquired, How long shall it be to the end of time? {TM 114.6}
"And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days." {TM 115.1}

so true my friend... and noticed that the righteous will be purified and made white... this has not happened yet...

So we see Michael had not stood up yet in 1849 according to God:s words.
Yet many in the SDA church then, soon after, and even now work valiantly to refute those words and make Daniel 12 basically all in the past. So here we are, nearer the end than we were in 1849, and it seems we are actually regressing in our knowledge of end-time events thanks to a strict historicist interpretation that puts everything in the past.
