Wow!

I wonder what happened?

I've thot for a long time that Jeff Pippenger and his 2520 day prophecy and his tying everything in to 9/11 and his Future for America organization were not only in error, but that they were cultish in nature, with followers hanging on to Jeff's every word, and rejecting anyone who doesn't agree with every word he says, as not being a serious student.

In 2006 I was in a series of meetings in Holland where Jeff Pippenger was the main speaker, and while he sometimes came up with a good point, he would talk and talk, and basically not say anything worthwhile.  His main idea tho, that the time of the end started on 9/11, and that the Muslims were one of the main players in Daniel and Revelation was very strange.  He stated something like that the 4 angels let loose the four winds on 9/11 or something to that effect, so I showed him this quote from the Day Star of 1846:

About four months since, I had a vision of events, all in the
future. And I saw the time of trouble, such as never was,--Jesus told
me it was the time of Jacob's trouble, and that we should be delivered
out of it by the voice of God. Just before we entered it, we all
received the seal of the living God. Then I saw the four Angels cease
to hold the four winds.

His response was along the lines of: "I've studied this out more than you have, so who are you to tell me"?

Anyway, I hope he repents and comes back to the truth as it is in Jesus Christ.

Thank you very much for that information, nb.

I wonder why the letter was to the Georgia-Cumberland Conference.

Maybe there was someone in that conference who was thinking about inviting him?

That conference recently employed a new pastor whose wife is a "bishop" in a Sunday-keeping church!

i had the same experience, a lot of words but nothing worthwhile, always expecting enlightenment and always somewhat disappointed, but strangely enough still aroused and thinking you know and understand something special, that you have special knowledge inadmissible for your salvation, but in fact distracting you from getting ready for the cumming of the Lord and eliminating your love for fellow man.

He has stopped preaching... others that believe the same things are going to camp meetings and spreading what they believe...

they refuse to believe EGW when she said the 2300 day prophecy was the longest prophecy in the bible....

Who is it that you are saying "has stopped preaching"?  This pastor with a 'Bishop' as a wife or someone else?
