Why is the new posts function not working & why isn't recent posts moved to top of the list of topics but stays buried in pages of former layers on the forum ?
if you want the most recent replies go to the bottom of the page and click on start date for the last modified and you will get the most recent responses in correct order....
i guess when something is for free, you have to suffer a bit...
thanks for that link... I'm on a couple of sda forums and some I just go and read. I also check Doug Batchelor's facebook page for new developments... I also correspond to several sdas around the world by personal email... just to check if what the news reports is SO!
Are things working now, Ed? Recent posts should always display when you click on the "Sorted by Last Modified" tab on the bottom right corner of the page.
I use the Firefox browser (I don't like Mozilla, but what to do....), and starting around 10 days or so ago it will never display the code to enter.
Right now, I've signed into my account and gone to the comments section and.... it's a bit of a long process.
But my concern, is that I wonder if others are experiencing the same kind of problems? Since I see some comments here, it is obvious that some of you can still see the codes, so probably it is not an "Activeboard" company problem. What browsers do you use?
Sister in Christ, I cannot recommend Keep the Faith Ministries. It used to be run by Lawrence Nelson, a very good retired pastor who sent out a cassette tape sermon every month. He was excited about my offer to send the 1858 Great Controversy book to everybody on his mailing list, which he did in 2002,3 or so. He got tons of flak for that, with Vance Ferrell even devoting a whole issue of his Checkpoints newsletter to the terrible problem of getting Ellen White's books out to people with my web address in it. When I called Pr. Nelson just after he had started receiving replies about the reception of the books, he said hundreds of people had told him how grateful they were for the book. When I called him after the ruckus started, he was reluctant to speak at all, but did tell me how people were calling him at all hours of the day and night telling him what a bad man he was for doing this. Very informative of the sad state of what is, unfortunately, quite a few followers of independent ministries.
But that doesn't explain why I cannot recommend KTF today. After Lawrence Nelson, Hal Mayer became leader there. I was interested in his material at first, but soon noticed a strong streak of political talking, and conspiracy talking that he had no proof of. When the pope came to America in 2008, Hal Mayer started spreading conspiracy theories that there was going to be secret meetings with the President and Congress, and a Sunday Law would be enacted. This rumor got so much traction, that Bill Knott, editor of the Review, warranted it a rebuttal in the Adventist Review:
Please note that while I'm not a Bill Knott fan, his analysis of this situation is exactly correct in my estimation.
I've met Br. Mayer I think twice, and what he talked about was standard, run-of-the-mill conspiracy stuff wrapped with a nice layer of inspired quotes that we need to be living in the country, getting spiritually ready for the Time of Trouble etc. But his anti-govt. talk, and to me, his anti-everybody-who-doesn't-think-like-me attitude is indicative of the spirit behind his words.
It might be useful to, to know that Hal Mayer seems to have fought for control over Hartland, and was rejected, and basically kicked out. I'm not too sure of that, but that is what I remember.
At least, be extremely careful of KTF!
I recommend Amazing Facts very highly. For new articles I check AdVindicate and the Adventist Review often. For Youtube channels, I like Amazing Facts, Forerunner777, Adventist Mission (but which makes me upset sometimes as I see the compromises), and of course my own If you are interested in more, I will try to check them soon.
God bless as we prepare spiritually for what is coming over the world like a great surprise.
