I consider her one of the greatest modern heroes of the faith in modern times. She embodied everything that the medical missionary work was designed to be.
My personal experience with her is very limited, really only once, for 4 days in 2009. I think my sister had taken her several boxes of 1858 Great Controversy books a year or two before, and she wrote me that they were all out and she would like some more if possible. I told her I would be in the States soon, so maybe I could come and bring some and give a study on it. She was delighted, and allowed me to study chapter 30 with everyone one Sabbath afternoon at Uchee Pines chapel. As expected, there were some who were questioning the apostles' writing being "dictated by the Holy Ghost", but not near as loud or rebellious as at most churches. After the study, Agatha Thrash, who had been quiet during the whole meeting, came up to me and quietly said that she thanked me for coming and showing her that she had been holding a false idea. She didn't elaborate on what it was, but I'm pretty sure it was on this question.
May we see her next with a glorified body, praising King Jesus.
