He posted on Sunday and messaged with me and said that he was ready to go.  I did not realize that he would die the next day.  What perseverance to keep posting right up until the very end.

I'm shocked at the suddenness of it all.

Based on his posts here, I had no idea he had any medical problems, but thanks to emails, I knew he was starting to go downhill.

But to know that he is 6 feet down is saddening.

May we all meet and be happy and joyful on that special resurrection morning!

So sudden so unexpected, may it be the gift of Jesus righteousness protecting Gibbs from now onward. He will not have to face what's coming. Sad to see him go, but may he be preserved in Christ Jesus henceforth.

he had been struggling since early July and KNEW he was not going to make it...

he was a warrior for what he believed to be truth up to the very end

NB thank you for sharing this news. It is sad to hear, but comforting to know that Gibs will wake to see Jesus' face. He encouraged us to lift the standard high, and that is what I will remember. It appears that he knew his time was nearly ended and that he needed to be ready. We all need to be ready:
