A very good question and all need to be taking part. Here are the verses of the 3 angels giving their messages,
Re 14:6 ¶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Re 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. Re 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Re 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
What those three all amount to is a dire warning if not heeded will receive the wine of the wrath of God,
Re 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Re 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
It is an urgent call to be of the next verse.
Re 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Part of the problem is most are not really seeing rightly who the beast is and his image of verse 9 above! Rev 13: is not rightly discerned.
1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
A good friend of mine came up with this simple form of the 3 angel's messages. It is the mission of the body of Christ to give this last warning message to the world. We share them in order and with the Love of Christ in our soul.
Thank you for what you have shared. I am trying to plan for a major transition in my life. I have been geographically separated from my immediate family for the past 27 years. In the next few years I will be living within easy driving distance of them, God willing.
My family used to be strong Adventist, Sabbath keeping Christians. Some family members, unfortunately, have left the Adventist church/message and are now worshipping in Sunday churches. Others have their feet in two camps, e.g. worshipping in an Adventist church but then spending a great deal of time in 12-step programs, which in my mind is worse than attending a Sunday church. In AA you cannot declare your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. The most you can do is acknowledge faith in a Higher Power, and that Higher Power could be yourself, as many members are atheists.
I really appreciate your feedback. I feel like I will have to be like Enoch, and walk alone much of the time. However, I can come to this virtual space for ideas and encouragement.
I think the best I can do is work out my own beliefs and practices, stand strong and leave the rest up to God. I cannot save my family. They know the truth, it is up to them to submit to God's will and do what is right.
Thanks again for your feedback. It is always greatly appreciated.
1) There are family members I cannot discuss Sabbath keeping with because they are openly hostile to Sabbath keeping.
2) There are family members I cannot discuss Sabbath keeping with because they are so liberal/progressive that the Sabbath is not that important. They could be labelled social Adventists.
3) There are members who are ambivalent i.e. they would discuss Sabbath keeping with me but it wouldn't be the highest topic on their agenda.
I can see in my family that those who have issues with Sabbath keeping also have issues with other affiliations (e.g. Sunday churches, AA). Ultimately, they have issues with defining Jesus Second Advent and what that means.
So, NB, I agree with the order of the messages that are to be delivered and the manner in which they should be shared. However, it seems that the list works in reverse order. The third message, keeping the Sabbath, is the critical message. If you cannot submit to God's will by keeping the Sabbath, then your relationship with Jesus is a bit pointless. Yes, you may have a relationship with Jesus but you are not keeping His faith i.e. following His ways.
My realization is that even though I have the wonderful opportunity to move closer to my family, it will be hard work. My closest spiritual connections will have to be with people who are not my family members, unfortunately.
Ellen White says that we should pray for the sanctification of the Sabbath to be on us during the week. I'm struggling to understand this. Please pray for me that I will: 1) Come to a deeper understanding of the Sabbath and the sanctification of the Sabbath; 2) Resolve to keep the Sabbath and associate with strong Sabbath keepers when I move closer to family.
Christ's sheepfold has no fence around it. His know the boundaries and prefer very gladly and happily to not venture out where they would be vulnerable to the predators of Satan. That is to go out and join with the worldly who know not the Way of the LORD and will not come to it.
Dear Shireen we are into the last time of this world and those accepting the saving truth messages is very fast coming to an end as it did in Noah's day. When the angel is told to put in his sickle and reap as the harvest is ripe that means the last has come that will come to His Way of salvation.
As you have seen the great majority want to come to salvation in some way they have cobbled or some pleasing way others have and which can never be valid. Sure they have faith but the problem is, faith based on presumption is not valid in the least.
Yes I know it is a hard and bitter realization to come to that the harvest of souls is extremely fast now coming down to the last one that will come up to His Way.
Don't bend in the least from the truth with any of family or others but in love as Christ our example ministered do the same. Then pray with your heart to Him that His Spirit will move them to come up to the truth.
Even a "gay" of which Satan may have as strong a hold on a man as can be has been converted, one plucked out of the fire.
Zec 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
Have and hold to faith and work with love and pray. His blessings as you labor is my prayer.
1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Oh no! I typed up a long post, hit send, and since my connection had cut out, poof!
So I'll shorten it.
My family has some backslidden members too. The one who still thinks they are a good SDA, but deny it in their actions, is much more difficult to deal with than the one who openly rejects SDAs. I pray for them, but don't enjoy meeting them much. The last time we met was in 2010.
The 3 Angels' Messages are as NB has written. The 1st started in 1831, the 2nd in 1842/1843, and the 3rd after Oct. 22, 1844. Of course they are all going now, and will be given much more strongly when the Loud Cry starts, and the Rev. 18 angel is sent. The only thing I would add, is that we must remember that the messages are all bound up in Christ's Righteousness. Jesus is the all-in-all. It is all about, for, and thru him.

I like what you have said here! Seems to me that there is more to the Sabbath than what we currently realize, more to Sabbath worship than what we realize, etc. Please continue the discussion as I think this is SOOOOOO important in these times. We know the Sabbath is the test, the seal for the end times.
How might the "sanctification of the Sabbath" be part of our five pillars of faith? The pillars are: 1) Nature of Christ, 2) Spirit of Prophecy, 3) Sabbath, 4) Sanctuary, 5) True State of the Dead.
What I have observed in my family is that people tend to be wishy-washy on pillars 1 to 4. That leaves the last pillar, the true state of the dead, as the last pillar to fall. How does the Sabbath cut across all these pillars of faith?

NB, by way of contrast, can you provide the Three Demons' Messages in simple form? Thank you.

Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Several have written to me, inquiring if the message of justification by faith is the third angel's message, and I have answered, "It is the third angel's message, in verity."-- The Review and Herald, April 1, 1890. {1SM 372.2}
"The time of test is just upon us, for the loud cry of the third angel has already begun in the revelation of the righteousness of Christ, the sin-pardoning Redeemer. This is the beginning of the light of the angel whose glory shall fill the whole earth.For it is the work of every one to whom the message of warning has come, to lift up Jesus, to present Him to the world as revealed in types, as shadowed in symbols, as manifested in the revelations of the prophets, as unveiled in the lessons given to His disciples and in the wonderful miracles wrought for the sons of men. Search the Scriptures; for they are they that testify of Him. {1SM 362.4}
If you would stand through the time of trouble, you must know Christ, and appropriate the gift of His righteousness, which He imputes to the repentant sinner.--The Review and Herald, Nov. 22, 1892. {1SM 363.1} "
" We cannot afford to neglect one ray of light God has given. To be sluggish in our practice of those things which require diligence is to commit sin. The human agent is to cooperate with God, and keep under those passions which should be in subjection. To do this he must be unwearied in his prayers to God, ever obtaining grace to control his spirit, temper, and actions. Through the imparted grace of
381
Christ, he may be enabled to overcome. To be an overcomer means more than many suppose it means. {1SM 380.4}
The Spirit of God will answer the cry of every penitent heart; for repentance is the gift of God, and an evidence that Christ is drawing the soul to Himself. We can no more repent of sin without Christ, than we can be pardoned without Christ, and yet it is a humiliation to man with his human passion and pride to go to Jesus straightway, believing and trusting Him for everything which he needs. . . . {1SM 381.1}
Let no man present the idea that man has little or nothing to do in the great work of overcoming; for God does nothing for man without his cooperation. Neither say that after you have done all you can on your part, Jesus will help you. Christ has said, "Without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5). From first to last man is to be a laborer together with God. Unless the Holy Spirit works upon the human heart, at every step we shall stumble and fall. Man's efforts alone are nothing but worthlessness; but cooperation with Christ means a victory. Of ourselves we have no power to repent of sin. Unless we accept divine aid we cannot take the first step toward the Saviour. He says, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end" (Revelation 21:6) in the salvation of every soul. {1SM 381.2}
But though Christ is everything, we are to inspire every man to unwearied diligence. We are to strive, wrestle, agonize, watch, pray, lest we shall be overcome by the wily foe. For the power and grace with which we can do this comes from God, and all the while we are to trust in Him, who is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him. Never leave the impression on the mind that there is little or nothing to do on the part of man; but rather teach man to cooperate with God, that he may be successful in overcoming. {1SM 381.3}
Let no one say that your works have nothing to do with your rank and position before God. In the judgment the sentence pronounced is according to what has been done or to what has been left undone (Matthew 25:34-40). {1SM 381.4}
Effort and labor are required on the part of the receiver
382
of God's grace; for it is the fruit that makes manifest what is the character of the tree. Although the good works of man are of no more value without faith in Jesus than was the offering of Cain, yet covered with the merit of Christ, they testify [to] the worthiness of the doer to inherit eternal life. That which is considered morality in the world does not reach the divine standard and has no more merit before Heaven than had the offering of Cain.--Manuscript 26a, 1892. {1SM 381.5}
While Submitting to the Holy Spirit
Everyone who has a realizing sense of what it means to be a Christian, will purify himself from everything that weakens and defiles. All the habits of his life will be brought into harmony with the requirements of the Word of truth, and he will not only believe, but will work out his own salvation with fear and trembling, while submitting to the molding of the Holy Spirit.--The Review and Herald, March 6, 1888. {1SM 382.1}
Jesus Accepts Our Intentions
When it is in the heart to obey God, when efforts are put forth to this end, Jesus accepts this disposition and effort as man's best service, and He makes up for the deficiency with His own divine merit. But He will not accept those who claim to have faith in Him, and yet are disloyal to His Father's commandment. We hear a great deal about faith, but we need to hear a great deal more about works. Many are deceiving their own souls by living an easygoing, accommodating, crossless religion. But Jesus says, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."--The Signs of the Times, June 16, 1890. {1SM 382.2} "

Babylon constitutes the Ideology and theology of willing rebellion toward God & Christ & the Holy Ghost - in any form and through any doctrine or practice or belief that contradicts the Holy Scriptures and the sacred Testifying of Jesus Christ, salvations Divine Lord and Judge .
Obedience to God's Sign or Satan's Sign of Ownership, when civil power violates freedom of conscience, and seeks to enforce obedience in violation of Scripture, such violation of Scripture's commands is forbidden in Scripture on pain of being consumed in the death penalty God has designed to kill Satan and all fallen angels, once that line is crossed God promises at that time to withdraw mercy and obliterate intractable rebellion. Resist the endtime laws to compel the conscience, turn to God and obey the whole Bible even if civil power kills you for it. Christ is the resurrection and the life, Christ is also the Judge of the Quick and the Dead. Acts 10:42; 2 Timothy 4:1; 1 Peter 4:5; Matthew 10:28 .
RBF was sounded by EGW pre 1888, then she validated Minneapolis 1888, and 1888 on into the early 1900's it kept sounding, but it kept getting stifled and shut off , and EGW sent overseas, and in each generation since it has worked to resurface and prepare the Church for the loosing of the winds and rapid movements, only to get quenched, and now it is going grassroots.
Why would SDA's think it is a "new" message, especially when righteous* = 510 Bible Texts in KJV, shouldn't they stumble over one text every once in awhile, after all they are reading the Bible - right ?
Do they think their merits are sufficient, or if they live good enough that will "make it" ?
