It's too close to the reality of the authority of the sender to be palatable news for some decision makers at the news desks, possibly some SDA desks too.
In war torn Angola God has been comforting, the helpless, and showing His presence for quite awhile, and displaying His approval of loyalty, and His displeasure at disloyalty. It is wonderful to hear this from our brethren there.
This is a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing, NB. What really amazed me is how the manna changes depending on the spiritual condition of the members of the church there.
It is odd that the fall of the manna there started over 70 years ago, and we are just hearing about it now. Well, i did find a video that shows an article in the Signs of the Times and some newspaper in Milwaukee in 1947 talking about this same event, so guess it just got forgotten over the years.
I talked to a pastor today and he said that he heard of this story when he was about 10 years old but then nothing since.
I too was amazed that we have not heard of this until now... it is wonderful encouragement for us all.
A friend of mine has shared this with members of his church and one new member said that the story convinced him that his faith in God is real and that this religion is real. He is really on fire now after hearing this story. Praise God!
Thank you for digging into this webmaster and finding more evidence of this wonderful truth!
The SDA structure here in the NAD has fallen a lot since then and I understand not as bad in the more primitive divisions.
I cannot take that to mean God is happy with the SDA church structure today or was extremely happy with it then. God is love and love is kind but in no way will requite the guilty however.
The year was 1944 there about and I was a young child at that time but know something of the SDA church at that time as my grandfather was in the Millerite movement and he had a printing set up and printed up Sabbath school lessons. He kept copies and I read them. Yes he had passed on before I knew him but my father and an aunt filled me in well. A very true little congregation still existed then and met in a township church building way back in the hills. We were not owned by the conference.
Many congregations yet in those yrs. were as it ought to the greatest extent.
All congregations today have need of getting back into the True Church that Jesus built upon Himself of which the first Apostate fell from as we have Jesus's guarantee His Church would not be prevailed against by the gates of hell. Yes His Word.
Mt 16:18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
