This is an interesting article that ends before it begins almost, on Roscoe Bartlett, former US congressman, who has decided to live off the grid. http://www.politico.com//magazine/story/2014/01/roscoe-bartlett-congressman-off-the-grid-101720.html Seems to look like a good thing to me.
