Looking at Enoch
Enoch represents those who shall remain upon the earth and be translated to heaven without seeing death. He represents that company that are to live amid the perils of the last days, and withstand all the corruption, vileness, sin, and iniquity, and yet be unsullied by it all. ....... {TA 68.3 - partial quote }

How Does Your Light Shine?--Those who should have been the light of the world have shed forth but feeble and sickly beams. What is light? It is piety, goodness, truth, mercy, love; it is the revealing of the truth in the character and life. The gospel is dependent on the personal piety of its believers for its aggressive power, and God has made provision through the death of His beloved Son, that every soul may be thoroughly furnished unto every good work.--Review and Herald, March 24, 1891. {WM 36.1}
HOW TO GET WHAT ENOCH GOT
It is our privilege, our duty, to receive light from heaven, that we may perceive the wiles of Satan, and obtain strength to resist his power. Provision has been made for us to come into close connection with Christ, and to enjoy the constant protection of the angels of God. Our faith must reach within the vail, where Jesus has entered for us. We must lay hold with firmer grasp on the unfailing promises of God. We must have faith that will not be denied, faith that will take hold of the unseen, faith that is steadfast, immovable. Such faith will bring the blessing of heaven to our souls. The light of the glory of God that shines in the face of Christ may shine upon us, and be reflected upon all around, so that it can be truly said of us, "Ye are the light of the world." And it is this connection of the soul with Christ, and this alone, that can bring light to the world. Were it not for this connection, the earth would be left in utter darkness. As in Sodom and Gomorrah, iniquity would prevail, and all would perish together beneath the judgments of God. How great is the responsibility placed upon the disciple of Christ. How imperative the duty to reflect the light of heaven upon a world enshrouded in darkness. The deeper the surrounding gloom, the brighter should shine out the light of Christian faith and Christian example. {RH, October 23, 1888 par. 10}
The fact that unbelief prevails, that iniquity is increasing all around us, should not cause our faith to grow dim, nor our courage to waver. How was it with Enoch in his day? Was a life of holiness more easy then than it is now? Was the world more favorable to a growth in grace? Was the earth less corrupt, when God was forced to destroy its inhabitants for their heaven-defying wickedness? If we will but seek God with all our hearts, if we will work with that same determined zeal, and believe with that unyielding faith, the light of heaven will shine upon us, even as it shone upon the devoted Enoch. {RH, October 23, 1888 par. 11}.

So Enoch represents the army of the Lord in the last days, that is doing it's utmost corporately and as individuals to overcome their love of and practice of sin, which authorized The Lord's holy angels to push back the evil angels and minister to them the provisions of Heaven because they face the obstacles , of weariness, hunger, delay, being burdened, feedling cast down, and distressed. Those provisions are to fill them with Piety, goodness, truth, mercy, love, in character and life, and assist their efforts to live that light outward from converted hearts/ minds / lives. As they seek God with their whole hearts, he will fill them with what He implanted in Enoch .
I pray that the light of piety, goodness, truth, mercy and love will shine from my character and life today. It is very discouraging when it seems I am not making progress but then I remember it is through God's strength not mine.

By the same token that the Latter Rain will be 10 times stronger than the Early Rain........it is my conviction that ...
In these last years of Earth's time before the Second Coming, Jesus will gladly put believers upon the shoulders of Inspiration's writers and His own words, works, examples, and through the power and life flowing down from Him as He interceeds, will propel believers far beyond what Enoch accomplished then. His greatest accomplishments were internal, spiritual.
I find the closing scenes are now beginning and most of the world even who believe He is coming again are fixing the time too far in the future. We have been in the end time since 1844 and now we are at the closing end. All signs foretell it and only the wise are seeing it and getting and keeping their "lamps" full and burning.
What will 2013 bring with a dictator now over us unless some way of unseating him is found, but so far all efforts has proven unfruitful. I do believe it is in the providence of God that the end must come and sin and rebellion must come to it's terrible max.

NB, Thanks I noticed soon as I posted last time I needed to put in my nickname and that there is no edit, but those really are not needed, and don't mind putting in the nickname each time. I see it has a spell checker and on some words that is nice.
I have no fault with the forum and see one don't need sign in. I kinda think though if one gets "bad" though that one can be kept off.
We are living in very troublesome times as true Christianity has lost hold on this country now for years. The sad thing is, it used to be a republic but it has been changed to a democracy. Now the non Christians have it their way. Sad indeed and it is going to bring on the great timeof trouble quickly now.
All should have something to share if nothing else their Faith of His covering us and His Spirit in us guiding us. Christ in us is the Hope of Glory. The following is my signature verse I love so much, as it stands out these days that many can't see they are to be overcomers!

God still has his hand over the nations, and the nation that he raised up - America, has been turning her back on him for many years now. The founding fathers would no doubt be dumbfounded at the anti-Christian spirit pervading high places in our schools and courts and legislative halls.
But where most of this evil comes from, is from our individual hearts. We love to have the easy, anti-Christian way of bread and circuses, and are going down a similar road as they did then, but this will be much bigger, and most likely the last time this will ever happen in the history of any nation in the whole universe.
America is not under a dictator now, so this time of freedom should be used wisely to spread the gospel not only within her borders, but in many countries around the world that are under dictators or other repression.
BTW, Just as the early rain came exactly on the date that had been prepared for it around 1,500 years earlier, the latter rain will also come exactly on one of those specially prepared days too. If we were all in one accord praying together on that day, wouldn't that be pleasing to God?

Sounds like a lot of house to house gethering was going on. Also possibly a lot of marketplace / shopping / divine appointments between the ladies buying food for daily meals, and workplace discussions in the afterglow of all the controversy surrounding Jesus and the mock trial/ state execution at calvary / suprising resurrection and group of raised glorified saints of all sizes / assention to Heaven in front of a group of 500 people.
