It is my understanding that the church is not connected to the hospitals and do not have power over them. The hospitals are run by secular people and the docs that do this are not SDAs.

Unfortunately, it still carries our name but they are mainstream medicine all the way. They administer drugs and chemo as well.

It is very sad that this type of thing goes on anywhere. I've been told that if you do away with abortion however that people will just kill the babies once they are born anyway.... such a sad world we live in. Never was intended to be such.

I'm not an expert on the relation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (General Conference), and hospitals that carry our name on them, but there is much control over them.

I recommend that you read the Ministry Magazine article of August 1991. It gives the history of abortion in SDA circles, and shows clearly that our current mess came in thru our hospital in Hawaii. The state government there legalized abortion in 1970, then our church asked for guideline help to the church, and the GC and division and whatever kicked it around a while, and finally came up with something.

It is not true that people will just kill their babies anyway if they cannot have an abortion. No one really believes that over 1,000,000 already-born babies would be dashed to pieces every year just in America!

I find there is much mininformation about this subject, most likely reflecting the current attitude of the church to just sweep it all under the rug. Whenever anyone brings it up, they are usually thot of as "church-bashers", or "anti-women". Funny tho, that no one actually wants to see the pics of the murdered kids.....

I'm encouraged by the response so far to the video. It is odd tho, that roughly half of those who comment on it think i'm doing a bad thing by airing dirty laundry of the church in the public eye. One lady (who is pro-life) said i should not use bloody pics. confuse ummm, that is one of the points - abortion is a bloody murder mess.

One person said that it is like i'm looking for black spots on a white sheep. Well, the Bible says that "Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."

So if God can use me to help the church realize she has spots that need the cleansing blood of Jesus, i will be happy smile

There are many of the faith that are not happy with this but are powerless.

It is the Ceos that run the hospitals and they are not even affiliated with the church. It is all about $ . disbelief

That is really an amazing video. I don't understand how anyone could ever watch that and still be an Evolutionist.

And i also don't see how we as a church could still support this nefarious business of killing the unborn if all of us SDAs watched this video.
