That is interesting about the Georgia Stones being connected with Thomas Paine.  I read about the Georgia Stones several years ago, being like dedicated to mankind's "evolution" to a higher plane or something weird, but didn't know the connection with he who was "one of the most corrupt of men".

I knew about the Ga. guide stones, but did not know this was dedicated to Thomas Paine and that he was apart of the secret societies until today.  It's awful most think that he was a christian, when he was a deceiver.  I love the 1858 GC book, I've not to long ago started reading it over again.  It's time to study and get our characters right before God before it's to late because it's showing that prophecy is taking place rapidly.

I could not understand for many years why the first edition of The Great Controversy would spend so much time (several paragraphs) on a man that very few people today have ever heard of.  But then i came to understand that he will actually appear (of course Satan's angels) before us at the end days, along with Peter, Paul, and John etc.

Why Thomas Paine?  Because he is highly revered among the intellectuals, and is so far removed from the present day, that it is hard to dig up "dirt" on him.

Glenn Beck has a new book out citing the writings and touting the ideas of Thomas Paine.   I like Glenn Beck but always thought he wasn't really exposing all the rot in Washington DC - so when he began talking about Thomas Paine and Common Sense I went to my E.G. White CD and ran a search on Thomas Paine.   It appears the ground work is being laid to resurrect Paine for the last days.
