Justification by faith and works
(Preview)
In a separate topic, Shireen made this statement, in reference to the first quote below (OHC 50): "This appears to be a promise of faith and works combined. It doesn't indicate faith only as in Martin Luther's justification by faith alone." I will try to tie this down as best I can. In the first place, t...

Vision Casting
(Preview)
Pr Glenn Townend (SPD President) stated: "I attended another church for leadership training". Is that where he learned the technique called vision casting? Should focus on the established biblical vision for the church rather than seeking new, personalized visions?

Heres the first one: many are turning to weird practices looking for healing. Beware. The heathen oracles have their counterpart in the spiritualistic mediums, the clairvoyants, and fortunetellers of today. The mystic voices that spoke at Ekron and En-dor are still by their lying words misle...

Off shoot movements and false prophets are big into saying that old Jerusalem will be rebuilt Then I was pointed to some who are in the great error, that the saints are yet to go to Old Jerusalem, &c., before the Lord comes. Such a view is calculated to take the mind and interest from the present wo...

The last days of Satan

One effort more, and then Satans last device is employed. He hears the unceasing cry for Christ to come, for Christ to deliver them. This last strategy is to personate Christ and make them think their prayers are answered. But this answers to the last closing work, the abomination of desolation stand...
