Now that Jesuit pope Francis is gone, who will be next?
I think we are very close to the last pope, as Jesus is coming back soon!

Hey!
Could you please help me understand which Testimonies for the Church are the ultimate originals to be used? I'm kinda confused about it because there are various books called Testimonies for the Church. All those that i saw seem to be original but some were single books with 1 testimony each or there were books with a compilation of a few testimonies in them. For example, you have uploaded on your site 1 PDF file with a compilation of testimonies 1-10 in which page numbering is not in sequence and i on the other hand have single PDFs of each testimony from 1 to 10. Also on your site it says "There are 37 volumes in the original "Testimony for the Church" series."" and here are maximum of 30 in PDF format or 22 in RTF format. I for example have 33 PDFs of testimonies, each being 1 from no.1 to 33, meaning that i probably lack 4 of them. Please help me understand which are the correct testimonies series in the end.
Thank you.
Best regards and God bless you,
Mike

Given the interest on this forum in early Advent literature, including the Spirit of Prophecy and various other authors like William Miller, I thought I would make a technical post that relates to this.
I personally have not done much with smartphones over the years. I recently took a look at what I have, and realized that it would be considered obsolete, and I decided to upgrade.
So about a month ago, I got a new Android smartphone.
Once I had the phone, I started looking around to see what Android apps are available that are suitable for doing spiritual study.
I first looked at a number of Bible apps, and eventually decided to go with e-Sword. I have the app configured with the KJV and ESV Bibles at the center. These are study Bibles, and included are various auxiliary tools such as cross reference and Hebrew/Greek support.
I've also downloaded a variety of public domain commentaries and dictionaries that are provided with the app, with familiar names like Barnes, Clarke, Easton, and Smith.
This particular app is classified as "premium" on the Google Play Store, and this means that a one-time charge of $2.99 was applied to my credit card when I downloaded the app.
I then looked at the Spirit of Prophecy area, and downloaded "EGW Writings 2" from the Google Play Store. I was not charged for this download.
The configuration of this app is such that you're asked initially about installing a core set of 120 Spirit of Prophecy books, with additional downloads possible after the fact.
In my particular case, I have home Internet service provided by Xfinity via cable, and the Xfinity modem sitting on my desk provides a local WiFi signal.
The WiFi is very fast, and because of this, I chose to download everything that is made available, and ended up with a set of more than 1400 items. This includes a large number of additional Spirit of Prophecy resources, for example Devotionals, Periodicals, and Manuscript Releases.
This also includes many pioneer authors, for example Joseph Bates, William Miller, and Uriah Smith, and many of these authors are grouped into a collection called "Adventist Pioneer Library", with about 675 items in it.
This particular collection also includes some more recent authors, for example Froom's "Conditionalist Faith of Our Fathers" and "Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers".
Since I downloaded everything, the installed app is relatively large, and is reported at around 5 GB in size, which is pretty big for an Android app.
Whether downloading everything makes sense depends on several factors, including interest in particular authors, the availability of WiFi versus cell networks, and the availability of smartphone storage for the various databases.
I am a long-time Bible and Spirit of Prophecy student, and have done most of my study using various apps on my desktop PC, and am always on the lookout for additional study tools. Both of the apps mentioned above seem to have a lot of potential.

Pastor Kevin Morgan is writing a new book on the early visions of Ellen G. Harmon/White. It promises to become the definitive book on this subject. It will be a very important work for all those interested in where the visions took place, what the circumstances were physically and spiritually leading up to the visions (no breathing sometimes!), who witnessed the visions, and what the effects were of the visions.
I've made a promo video which you can see on Youtube here: [video=https://youtu.be/H6nHmGErY8I?si=uq19gN2sosUKvXbg]
For the first time ever, a table has been made of the first 141 visions Ellen had, and are described, named, and numbered chronologically, with references given. There are many pictures of people and places related to Adventists that I'd never seen before, maps of places like of West Island, near Fairhaven, Massachusetts, where Ellen experienced while in a little boat in a wild storm: "the rain descended as I never saw it before, the lightnings flashed and the thunders rolled, I was taken off in vision, and saw that sooner would every drop of water in the ocean be dried up than we should perish, for I saw that my work had but just begun." (V33)
Spreading the original, 1858 edition of The Great Controversy Between Christ and His Angels, and Satan and His Angels, has been my main life work. I've read more of Ellen White's material than anyone I know of, and have found that while there are some things with her name as the author that don't match up, and as a person, she had some big faults, her visions and early works are undoubtedly from God, as she passes all the tests of being a true prophet. This book has deepened my love and respect for her as being given the special prophetic gift by God, and also for her as a person in carrying out that responsibility in doing disagreeable tasks such as warning others of errors, telling men 3 times her age that they were teaching against the Bible, and wearing herself out travelling here and there to give the messages gave God her to bear.
Here is one abridged report in the book that interests me: "We were suspected of holding a meeting somewhere,and we afterwards learned that persons were sent to Brother W's (White's) house to see if we were there, or if there was a meeting. At the time these two men came we were all bowed before God. There was no noise but a peaceful weeping spirit rested upon us. The windows were high so that none of us were noticed from the outside. The men went away satisfied that we were not there. {Ms9-1859.13}
The last meeting we held there was especially solemn. The poor souls who had not the privileges of meeting for a long time were greatly refreshed. While we were praying and weeping before God that night, I was taken off in vision and shown that our work was done in Orrington, that we must leave by daybreak the next morning, for men would come to take us and we should suffer abuse." (V14)
In the confusion following the Great Disappointment of October 22, 1844, there were a ton of "Lo here"s and "Lo there"s trying to deceive the scattered, torn flock. But in that, God raised up a bright, shining light, saying: "This is the way, walk ye in it".
The book title is "Glory! Glory! Glory!", and will be published by TEACH Services. Exhibit-7 of the book, a whole book in itself, is free to read online here:

I cannot recommend this book more highly. It will strengthen your faith, give you courage, and help you prosper in the Lord.

Above you can find F.G. Brown's "VIEWS AND EXPERIENCE IN RELATION TO ENTIRE CONSECRATION AND THE SECOND ADVENT" in audio format at the link above. James White republished this book in 1859 to show "the spirit of the great Advent movement, and the deep work of grace in those whom God led out to look for the coming of his Son"
I want to continue making available audio materials containing the Second Advent message as originally preached by those who had experience in the 1844 Millerite movement. Before deciding what book should be next, I would like to take a survey from you. Thank you in advance for your answers!

Mark of the Beast.
I do not agree that the Sunday Law is the Mark of the Beast, it is but only its Mark of Authority.
In Revelation 14:11 it clearly states its the MARK OF ITS NAME.
If one makes a spreadsheet of all the verses that mentions the Beast in Revelation one can clearly see its all about the MARK of its NAME.
NAME of the BEAST
MARK of its NAME
NUMBER of its NAME
all has to do with the NAME of the Beast.
Sunday Law is its Mark of Authority and not the MARK of its NAME.
MARK of its NAME - who you worship
MARK of AUTHORITY - on which day you worship.
Greetings

I am currently studying the Sanctuary Message from the Bible and would like to start my study from the Camp instead of beginning at the Bronze Altar. Could you suggest the best sources for learning about this, particularly those that include quotations from Ellen G. White? Additionally, I am curious about the quality of Alex Ortega's lessons on this topic. Are they considered good and reliable for in-depth study?

I have struggled a lot with connecting my faith to the Arts.
I'm at the point where I don't think the Arts hold much appeal for me as a Christian.
Beauty is important and there is a lot of beauty in the Arts, but is that enough?
What are the pros and cons of the Arts (music, literature, theatre and fine arts)? What place do they have in your life?
If they have no role in your life, what do you do with the time that others spend on the Arts?
Thank you in anticipation of your response.
