Daniel 12:1-4 is probably best put as a continuous flow of chapter 11.

I saw that Michael had not stood up, and that the time of trouble, such as never was, had not yet commenced. The nations are now getting angry, but when our High Priest has finished his work in the Sanctuary, he will stand up, put on the garments of vengeance, and then the seven last plagues will be poured out. I saw that the four angels would hold the four winds until Jesus work was done in the Sanctuary, and then will come the  seven last plagues. These plagues enraged the wicked against the righteous, and they thought that we had brought them down upon them, and if they could rid the earth of us, then the plagues would be stayed. A decree went forth to slay the saints, which caused them to cry day and night for deliverance. This was the time of Jacob's trouble. Then all the saints cried out with anguish of spirit, and were delivered by the voice of God. Then the 144,000 triumphed. Their faces were lighted up with the glory of God.( ExV 19.1 )(RH Aug 1,1849 )( Broadside 2 Jan 31,1849)

Therefore probation for the world has not yet closed. Michael (Jesus) is still mediating for us in the heavenly sanctuary.

"At that time shall Michael stand up, the great Prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book." Daniel 12:1.  {GC 613.1}

When the third angel's message closes, mercy no longer pleads for the guilty inhabitants of the earth. The people of God have accomplished their work. They have received "the latter rain," "the refreshing from the presence of the Lord," and they are prepared for the trying hour before them. Angels are hastening to and fro in heaven. An angel returning from the earth announces that his work is done; the final test has been brought upon the world, and all who have proved themselves loyal to the divine precepts have received "the seal of the living God." Then Jesus ceases His intercession in the sanctuary above. He lifts His hands and with a loud voice says, "It is done;" and all the angelic host lay off their crowns as He makes the solemn announcement: "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." Revelation 22:11. Every case has been decided for life or death. Christ has made the atonement for His people and blotted out their sins. The number of His subjects is made up; "the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven," is about to be given to the heirs of salvation, and Jesus is to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.  {GC 613.2}

Daniel 12:7,8

Daniel did not understand what the Angel was saying and asked the question what shall  be the end of these things? he cannot be saying that he did not understand the times times and a half a time referred to in chapter 7, for he understood this prophecy and he understood the message and head understanding of the vision chapter 10:1  the angel put the second time times and a half time 12:7 or 1260 days in a different time context which Daniel did not understand however he was given the assurance that it would be understood during the time of the end 12:4.  this is one of the Things that makes this part of Daniel 12 so difficult to understand even Daniel did not understand when the power of the holy people has been completely scattered 12:7 refers to the time of the latter rain this word scattered in the Hebrew is the word Natphats which means to disperse in other words the power of the holy people as witnesses will be poured out like rain during the time of the end 12:4. Christ spoke of this is Matthew but he who endures to the end shall be saved in this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come Matthew 24: 13, 14.

Daniel 12:7. When the power of the holy people has been completely shattered the meaning here is disbursed in other words the power of the holy people as witnesses will be poured out like rain during the loud cry. For 3 1/2 years the last warning message will be given 1260 literal days makes 3 1/2 years. And thousands will be converted just like on the day of Pentecost in acts 2:41.

daniel 12:9,10. The time element. And understanding of this time element will be given to the writers during the time of the end 12:9.  Daniel did not understand the angels use of the time element. Always before, a day had represented a year but in this case the angel used literal, and not prophetic time. Always before when speaking of prophetic time Daniel use different Hebrew words such as: Daniel 7:25 in the original Hebrew is IDDAN or year. And in Daniel 8:14 is EREB-BOQER or evening-morning.

however, when the angel tales Daniel, but you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days (12:13), he uses the word Y0WM which is used in connection with literal days and not prophetic.  this word is used by Daniel in chapter 1 in verses 12, 15, 18, concerning the ten-day test he and his companions faced regarding their diet. And Daniel 6:7 it is used for the 30 days of Royal decree. The word YOWM Is used in the book of Daniel only when referring to literal time. Therefore to be consistent we must conclude that the 1260 to 1290 in the 1335 days of Daniel 12:11, 12 must be literal days.

Daniel 12:10 the Scripture says many shall be purified and made white and refined but the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand but the wise shall understand. Now this is very interesting because back in 1843 or 1844 no one was purified and no one was made white and no one was refined so it didnt happen in the past this must be future.

At the beginning of the 1260 days, the abomination of desolation will be set up in the abomination of desolation is set up there shall be 1290 days and we have learned from spirit of prophecy that this is when Satan impersonates or personates Christ in his Final crowning act.

 Nb, here I must be honest enough to tell that I'm a bit surprised to read this from you. Not long back you made reference to 1SG 148.1. Here is what you can find just a few lines before:

They expected Jesus to come. They longed for his appearing. They did not cast one lingering look to earth. Again I saw a cloud settle upon the waiting ones. I saw them turn their weary eyes downward. I inquired the cause of this change. Said my accompanying angel, They are again disappointed in their expectations. Jesus cannot yet come to earth. They must yet suffer for Jesus and endure greater trials. They must give up errors and traditions received from men, and turn wholly to God and his word. They must be purified, made white and tried. And those who endure that bitter trial will obtain an eternal victory. {1SG 146.2}

I believe this account just as it reads. It doesn't say that the process of purification, and making white ended in 1844, but it doesn't say that it only applies to the very last generation and has nothing to do with the events of 1843-44. The believers have been tried but still have to endure greater trials. It is no different than what the book of Daniel writes in chapter 12. And in the next chapter of the original Great Controversy we have this in greater detail:

Those obedient to the messages stood out free and united. A holy and excellent light shone upon them. They renounced the world, tore their affections from it, and sacrificed their earthly interests. They gave up their earthly treasure, and their anxious gaze was directed to heaven, expecting to see their loved Deliverer. A sacred, holy joy beamed upon their countenances, and told of the peace and joy which reigned within. Jesus bade his angels go and strengthen them, for the hour of their trial drew on. I saw that these waiting ones were not yet tried as they must be. They were not free from errors. And I saw the mercy and goodness of God in sending a warning to the people of earth, and repeated messages to bring them up to a point of time, to lead them to a diligent search of themselves, that they might divest themselves of errors which have been handed down from the heathen and papists. Through these messages God has been bringing out his people where he can work for them in greater power, and where they can keep all his commandments. {1SG 155.2}

I do believe that she was talking about 1888 when if they accepted RBF Jesus would come in that window of time between 1888 and 1892.  But they rejected the light given and no one was made white and refined and purified.  That is a future event.  God was indeed working with them....  and around 1888 she was seeing that some were being sealed and then it suddenly stopped.

That reminds me that we all have a work to do in ourselves for we are not sealed.

That is very interesting.  We Creationists also use that Hebrew word YOWM to show that the days of Creation were literal, and not referring to long periods of time.
