Last Sabbath I met the leader of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the Western Japan Union Conference - Tsutomu Inada.
I've lived in Japan for many years, and have become used to seeing nearly all the pastors and leaders being compromisers in one way or another.
However, last Sabbath I met this leader for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised that he spoke up strongly for the truthfulness and accurateness of the Bible, and voiced strong support for Ellen White's writings too. When I presented him with the 1858 Great Controversy book I translated into Japanese, he didn't hold it with disdain, or ask disparaging questions like I usually get from not only leaders here, but many members as well. And amazingly, he basically agreed with me when I said that all the Ellen White books in Japanese need to be retranslated, because of the oldness and stiltedness of the translations!
Usually, hardly anyone wants to agree with a foreigner that maybe something in Japan could actually be better (in a tangible way). My heart was very light and I was singing praises to God on my walk to the train station and in the train coming back to my place.
Here I am, willing to help, Pastor.
May God bless you Pastor Inada, and may you stand firm for Christ and his words!!
