Elder Wilson Stops Shaving in Preparation for Battle Creek Meetings

I've read that Elder Wilson has stopped shaving in preparation for the upcoming Battle Creek meetings. Is this true? If it is, what is the reasoning?

Thank you very much for this information but what is the meaning of not shaving in preparation for the meetings?

News reports from last year say that Elder Wilson suggested a "traditional" theme for the 2018 Annual Council in Battle Creek, as a way of honoring Adventist pioneers.  The suggestion includes beards for men.

A current picture in the online Review shows Elder Wilson giving a sermon on June 16, and he appears to be wearing a beard.

I'm not aware of any deeper spiritual significance.

However, if you wish to look into the connection between hair and spirituality, then I would suggest starting with the Nazarite angle (Numbers 6:5).

Spiritual or not, I think Pr Wilson and others look better with whiskers, but I am biased .

Looks cool, Ed!

I have a few whiskers myself, but my little English students are divided about evenly whether I should cut them off, or keep them.

Someone else said I might look younger without them....
