This is very interesting: KJV stood as basis of both the first and second great awakening. And the year of the greatest outpouring of Holy Spirit during the midnight cry (1844) was the year of the so-called discovery of codex sinaiticus which is used as pretext to change the true Bible with many counterfeits. Still we expect to receive the latter rain by coming up with all kinds of programs and methods of prayers while accepting Satan's counterfeits.

Interesting also that 1844 was the year Darwin released an essay that proved to be the foundation for his later Origin of Species.

It:s kind of like at the close of the 2300 days, Satan was given more freedom to tempt and destroy humans with vain philosophy.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie (2 Thess.2:11).

Darwinism, Marxism, Spiritualism - there were many delusions coming up by 1844. But the text in 2Thes. 2:11 seems to speak of a specific delusion received by those who are on the way don't have the love of the truth, which means that they don't love the Word of God (according with John 17:17). Also, this deception prepares the way for the man of sin to be revealed.

The so-called discovery of Sinaiticus was the event which radically changed the way Bible is seen. It is not regarded as the literal Word of God anymore, but rather as a production which was / is subject to many changes and revisions. Someone who today is regarded as a Bible believer, 200 years back could have been called anything else than that. He could be skeptic, or doubter, or maybe deist, but never a Bible believer:

Maybe you noticed a very relevant quotation from Manly P. Hall, which was bought up during one of those presentations:

"...we have to to undo much that is cherished error. The problem of revising the Bible shows how difficult is is to do this. For the last hundred years, we have been trying to get out an edition of the Bible that is reasonably correct; but nobody wants it. Whats wanted is the good old King James version, every jot and tittle of it, because most people are convinced that God dictated the Bible to King James in English." (Manly P. Hall, Horizon, Philosophical Research Society, 1944)

One hundred years from 1944 brings us to 1844, the year when Tischendorf discovered Codex Sinaiticus. When Hall, a 33 degree mason, was saying "we", who was he talking about?

Good point, zafer. Who is the "we" that he is talking about?

His denigrating people who believe in the KJV is common for people who are aware that their own beliefs are not based on solid truth.

However, it is true that there are some "KJV-Only" people who do more harm than good in calling people to study only their KJV Bibles, and denounce everything else (sometimes even original manuscripts!) as from Satan. I've seen Walter Veith do that, and asked him to repent and give the straight testimony, not create conspiracy theories that detract from the truth.
