Nara Japan - what was in the vegetarian sandwiches ?

1. black filling = ?

2. red/purple filling - have beets in it ?

3. The one being eaten, and said to be good ?

The lady with you who talked a lot ? She is ?

Seems like mid spring, red / pink dogwood blooming,  cherry blossoms falling.

Let's see if I can remember what was in those sandwiches 3 months ago...

1. seaweed with probably some strips of fried tofu or green beans, i don't remember

2. mostly potatoes with some beets (not sweet like i thot - this one was the best!) wink

3. mushrooms

The lady in that video first became friends with my mother when my parents and niece came to Japan in 1990.  My mother and myself too have prayed with her and given her spiritual reading material, and while she is respectful of it, she isn't interested in it at all.  So I don't meet her very often, as I know we are to pick our friends carefully, yet I don't want to cut off all contact with her either.  Who knows but maybe her hard heart will be melted one day?

sandwich #1 more protein, sandwich #2 more flavor, sandwich #3 needed soy sauce & spicy/smoky on the mushrooms, seasoned tofu skins as wraps on the side, & sweet dried persimmon chips as desert would have been nice too.  A nice lunch.

How was the local drinking water ?

The well water during our vacation at our host's house in NM was very good.

BTW have you read Melody Mason's Book on prayer "Daring to ask for more" ?

One of the focuses is that there in increased power and urgency in God's "in box" as it were from united prayer than scattered fewer people praying.

I don't need to know her name - I will call her the " Japanese sandwich lady " and will ask the mens and womens prayer groups to start interceding Heaven for her intelligent heart changed conversion to Seventh day Adventist Christianity.

Thanks for the prayers!  No, I don't know Melody Mason.

Hopefully one day the entire SDA structure in Japan will be swept away, and the lay people can take over and run it according to God's will.

That opinion is not original with me, but with a former treasurer of the Japan Union Conference!
