I saw that God has forsaken the Jews as a nation; yet there was a portion of them who would be enabled to tear away the veil from their hearts. Some will yet see that prophecy has been fulfilled concerning them, and they will receive Jesus as the Saviour of the world, and see the great sin of their nation in rejecting Jesus, and crucifying him. Individuals among the Jews will be converted; but as a nation they are forever forsaken of God. 1858 Great Controversy chapter 17.

Converted Jews in the Closing Work.--There will be many converted from among the Jews, and these converts will aid in preparing the way of the Lord, and making straight in the desert a highway for our God. Converted Jews are to have an important part to act in the great preparations to be made in the future to receive Christ, our Prince. A nation shall be born in a day. How? By men whom God has appointed being converted to the truth. There will be seen "first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear." The predictions of prophecy will be fulfilled.--Manuscript 75, 1905.

Many Will Come to the Light.--There is a mighty work to be done in our world. The Lord has declared that the Gentiles shall be gathered in, and not the Gentiles only, but the Jews. There are among the Jews many who will be converted, and through whom we shall see the salvation of God go forth as a lamp that burneth. There are Jews everywhere, and to them the light of present truth is to be brought. There are among them many who will come to the light, and who will proclaim the immutability of the law of God with wonderful power. The Lord God will work. He will do wonderful things in righteousness.--Manuscript 87, 1907.

There is very, very few Messianic Jews in the state of Israel.  There are some in New York city.  I used to hear the ministry of a Messianic Jew and his wife on Shortwave and they followed I found the Bible we have perhaps as well if not better than Adventists.

These two were excellent on prophecies and salvation.  Not all are however but know this, the true Messianic Jew is to be reckoned with but their ministry is not wanted in Israel is my understanding.  They are followers I am told of the Talmud and the Kabbalah.

I've met some but to discuss religion with, no I have not.

That is interesting, Gibs.  I find the messianic Jews and Hebrew Roots people to be quite knowledgeable about the Bible (more than myself in many things), but most of them get off into thinking that the 3rd temple will be built and Jesus will come down and do sacrifices on it!

If they could believe God's words to Ellen White, and have their love for Torah, they would be powerful witnesses for God's law and how it is connected with the righteousness of Christ. smile

Thank you for what you the links you have shared Ed. Personally I am uncomfortable with the idea of people getting excited about Ellen White's writings because a certain person has 'endorsed' them. I would like to accept her writings on a faith basis, not because of what others testify about her writings.

If a gemologist told you a rock on your desk was worth $2,000,000.00 in raw state, was it undue excitement because a professional in Hebrew Language and theology, showed you more evidence what the book Patriarchs and Prophets was worth, due to the nature of it's content, in a way that was not obvious to a non hebrew speaker ?

This opened up faith in the Bible & Christ in a man who had heretofore rejected both.

This is help for the Jews from a mostly unexpected source.

John 17:20  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

 

John 4:29  Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

39  And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

40  So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

42  And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

 

Her testifying convinced them to hear Him for themselves, even so with Patriarchs and Prophets, it convinced the Rabbi to search and read more for himself, and he found, he just needed a step ladder to get started. God supplied it and carried him further too.
