Yes our all must be laid in His Hands and it may take some doing of surrender for us to do that fully and completely. Number one we are not our own, we are His twice, first by creation and second by redemption, bought back with a terrible price.
One place that we can fail is really making Him First and best, and yes that is even over self. In other words self must be killed and kept killed not to allow him to rise up first ever!
A few words from Paul and then the whole sixth Chapter should be read and taken in well.
Ro 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Ro 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Ro 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
However just two verses from chapter six,
Ro 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Ro 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
It is absolutely a must that we have surrendered ALL to Him not a whit withheld as if anything is we have reserved self as partial king in the soul temple and so then He will not come in and take up abode there and without Him dwelling within we are nothing, yes literally to the wiles of Satan. Self is no doubt the hardest master to cast out and it MUST BE DONE!
He dwelling within is our strength and stay and quickening, "Spirit of Truth", to discern truth from error and HIS promise also to shew us things to come, Here is that promise!!
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Joh 14:18 ¶ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Then for sure,- 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1Jo 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 1Jo 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
