Christians in the Middle East, especially Syria and Iraq, are being exterminated. Where is the outcry from the supposedly "Christian" West? Even our SDA church seemingly has almost nothing to say on this very grave situation.
The last Christians in northern Iraq are fleeing from places where their communities have lived for almost 2,000 years, as a deadline passed for them to either convert to Islam, pay a special tax or be killed.
The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) issued a decree last week offering Christians the three options accompanied by the ominous threat that, if they did not comply by midday on 19 July, "then there is nothing to give them but the sword".
ISIS has also "disturbed" the supposed grave of the prophet Jonah:
In a disturbing wave of violence in Mosul this month, the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) terrorist group destroyed churches, monasteries, and statues, and disturbed the grave of the biblical prophet Jonah.
A video posted on YouTube July 9 shows a tomb being destroyed with a sledgehammer, and Nineveh officials said the grave is "almost certainly" that of Jonah.
I believe we will know fairly close as the deadly wound is only healed when martyrdom begins with the Saints again without recompense as before the deadly wound.
We would need to know for sure that the ones martyred were truly Saints of His.
