called "The Storm Approaches" should be a warning call to Christians to sit up and take notice about what is happening.  For the first time, the land of liberty, the country most blessed by God because of offering a haven to God-fearing Christians in the past, has had its persecution of Christian rank raised by the Pew Forum from "low" to "moderate".

Several lawmakers are interviewed, and they all say the climate towards Christians has drastically chilled in the last 4 years.  Different reasons are proffered - how the courts are anti-christian, how the media is anti-christian, how the educational system is anti-christian, and now, how the government at nearly all levels is anti-christian.  

Christians are exhorted in the article to really live out the biblical principles.  This is good, as it should be.  It also says we need to speak up more.  This too is good, as it should be.  What is troubling tho, is that when something really shocking happens in the future, it will galvanize the lukewarm Christians to "get right with God", and their solution to the secularist/atheistic/evolutionary forces working against them, will be to make everyone worship on Sunday.

We should not be silent in this time as we see the forces of evil gaining more and more control in society.  At the same time, we should be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Re 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

I wonder if the above verse isn't meeting those words?  Dark ages Martyrdom beginning again?

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

After reading the ezine word by word and page by page - only from the heart faithful SDA's - and those who serve God as best they know from their hearts, will be left to stand, all else mowed down.    Memorize Scripture, only a little time is left, our life blood will be seed, but our fearless words will give the haunting message that resonates in memory and convicts their hearts, till the Second Coming we may not see our converts, they may convert after our deaths, but if they have converted, and God made us and kept us faithful, it will be enough.  

The time preached over and over since before our birth, has finally come.  We have slept too much upon the low coasts, the storm surge is coming with the storm, the highlands call, call to us with heartfelt entreaty to come up higher before it breaks, will we awaken and follow His call ?
