I've been in Japan many years, and frankly, have become almost Japanese in my mindset of "nothing will work". I know that is not true, but i don't really have a clue on how to reach the people. I stuffed 5,000 papers in mailboxes 10 years ago, and got zero response. I translated and then printed 5,000 1858 Great Controversy in Japanese and have gotten very little response. The biggest SDA church in Osaka where i used to be a member had zero evangelistic efforts in the 10 years or so that i was attending there. There just is basically nothing happening with Christianity or SDA work in Japan. So i guess we need to pray that people will somehow be awakened to eternal realities. I still have a seed of faith in my heart that something will happen and they will come seeking the truth by the millions at the end time...

There may be a way to use a polytheistic culture to your advantage RE the creation story with reference in a way that might resonate favorably with a wisdom honour society as part of the panthism / animism / ancestor worship philosopies ?

I will try to develop the concept and bring it forth for mutual dialog and mutual research.

Plus it's going to take both removing all the roadblocks to the Holy Ghost, as well as receiving Him on His & Christ's terms, and obtaining His endowments, Japan is not a culture of soft copper, but rather high carbon steel with centuries of heated folding and forging, till the self views are as hard and sharp as a well made katana from a master craftsmans foundry/forge.

However Christ's mindset and procedures in MH, and speaking methods and principles used in John ch 4, still have power to warm and sway and reshape even hearts of cold iron beliefs.

" We are living in the midst of an "epidemic of crime," at which thoughtful, God-fearing men everywhere stand aghast. The corruption that prevails, it is beyond the power of the human pen to describe. Every day brings fresh revelations of political strife, bribery, and fraud. Every day brings its heart-sickening record of violence and lawlessness, of indifference to human suffering, of brutal, fiendish destruction of human life. Every day testifies to the increase of insanity, murder, and suicide. Everywhere there are hearts crying out for something which they have not. They long for a power that will give them mastery over sin, a power that will deliver them from the bondage of evil, a power that will give health and life and peace. Many who once knew the power of God's word have dwelt where there is no recognition of God, and they long for the divine presence. {MH 143.1}

The world needs today what it needed nineteen hundred years ago--a revelation of Christ. A great work of reform is demanded, and it is only through the grace of Christ that the work of restoration, physical, mental, and spiritual, can be accomplished. {MH 143.2}

Christ's method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, "Follow Me." {MH 143.3}

There is need of coming close to the people by personal effort. If less time were given to sermonizing, and more time were spent in personal ministry, greater results would be seen. The poor are to be relieved, the sick cared for, the sorrowing and the bereaved comforted, the ignorant instructed, the inexperienced counseled. We are to weep with those that weep, and rejoice with those that rejoice. Accompanied by the power of persuasion, the power of prayer, the power of the love of God, this work will not, cannot, be without fruit. {MH 143.4} "

par's 143.3 & 143.4 + power of persuasion, the power of prayer, the power of the love of God, perhaps Jesus's methods of persuasion, Biblically prevailing prayer, the obtaining of the supernatural agape<26>, agapous<25>, philio<5384>, splagchnizomai<4697>, should be mutually discussed and researched. To evangelize Japan you do not need Heaven's teaspoon, you need Heaven's tools that are both more persuasive and more powerful but more in depth, to reach the hearts, past the veneer of culture, tradition, entrenched beliefs and the self esteem of the ideologys of vanity and self perfection, and false honour.

For there is a law that the modern industralized SDA Church does not teach, but was once lived decades ago, but in NAD too many who lived it have died off. It's time for a resurrection my brother I am tired of the valley of dry bones . Perhaps through you and others the wind will blow in Japan again, as it once did centuries ago, but stronger this time.

The great Controversy saga is very different depending if it is told from God's side of the story, with God's truthfulness never deci eving the hearers, or Satan's version of the story, with his lying intentions and re-telling twisting to suit himself and his ends, ALWAYS decieving the hearers, so that his lies will infect them with more of his nature and defiling them from the inside. Satan wants them to hate God and feel superior to God.

The foundation of the saga is creation VS evolution, Scriptural creation VS ledgends built of lies caculated to entrench the believers of those lies in the attitude Satan desires them go into and to stay in till it's too late.

Satan's vengence is built from envy, jealosy, narcissism, violence, hatred of what is good, pure, holy, kind, merciful, loves the suffering , persecution, death of enemies.

The three Co Creator's vengence never is that way.

Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

We are all infected with Satan's attitudes, therein is the strength of the war against the three Co Creators in Heaven.

Those who minister to others will be ministered unto by the Chief Shepherd. They themselves will drink of the living water, and will be satisfied. They will not be longing for exciting amusements, or for some change in their lives. The great topic of interest will be, how to save the souls that are ready to perish. Social intercourse will be profitable. The love of the Redeemer will draw hearts together in unity. {DA 641.1}

When we realize that we are workers together with God, His promises will not be spoken with indifference. They will burn in our hearts, and kindle upon our lips. To Moses, when called to minister to an ignorant, undisciplined, and rebellious people, God gave the promise, "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." And He said, "Certainly I will be with thee." Exodus 33:14; 3:12.This promise is to all who labor in Christ's stead for His afflicted and suffering ones. {DA 641.2}

Love to man is the earthward manifestation of the love of God. It was to implant this love, to make us children of one family, that the King of glory became one with us. And when His parting words are fulfilled, "Love one another, as I have loved you" (John 15:12); when we love the world as He has loved it, then for us His mission is accomplished. We are fitted for heaven; for we have heaven in our hearts. {DA 641.3}

speaking of medical missionary ...... I found an interesting quote looking up a phrase search.

phrase was "baptism of blood" = 18 hits

"Christ's earthly life, so full of toil and sacrifice, was cheered by the thought that He would not have all His travail for nought. By giving His life for the life of men, He would win the world back to its loyalty. Although the baptism of blood must first be received, although the sins of the world were to weigh upon His innocent soul, yet for the joy that was set before Him He chose to endure the cross and despised the shame. {CH 511.1}

Study Christ's definition of a true missionary, "Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." Mark 8:34. Following Christ, as spoken of in these words, is not a pretense, a farce. Jesus expects His disciples to follow closely in His footsteps, enduring what He endured, suffering what He suffered, overcoming as He overcame. He is anxiously waiting to see His professed followers revealing the spirit of self-sacrifice. {CH 511.2}

Those who receive Christ as a personal Saviour, choosing to be partakers of His suffering, to live His life of self-denial, to endure shame for His sake, will understand what it means to be a genuine medical missionary. {CH 511.3}

Obedience and Understanding

" When all our medical missionaries live the new life in Christ, when they take His word as their guide, they will have a much clearer understanding of what constitutes genuine medical missionary work. This work will have a deeper meaning to them when they render implicit obedience to the law engraven on tables of stone by the finger of God, including the Sabbath commandment, concerning which Christ Himself spoke through Moses to the children of Israel, saying: {CH 511.4}

"Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily My Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you." "The children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever." Exodus 31:13, 16, 17. {CH 512.1}

Let us diligently study God's word, that we may proclaim with power the message that is to be given in these last days. Many of those upon whom the light of the Saviour's self-sacrificing life is shining refuse to live a life in accordance with His will. They are not willing to live a life of sacrifice for the good of others. They desire to exalt themselves. To such ones truth and righteousness have lost their meaning, and their un-Christlike influence leads many to turn away from the Saviour. God calls for true, steadfast workers, whose lives will counteract the influence of those who are working against Him. {CH 512.2}
