I had an idea as I remembered that somewhere in Scripture devout followers of God, were praying and seeking purity of heart, before an antisipated crisis or time of judgement was to arrive, and faint memories of similiar occurances being written of in SOP.

It is established that Adoni, The Holy Ghost, can and does get grieved, offended, His helping efforts ovatures quenched, till He sees the need to draw back and give the person, or group the space they desire.

It happened in Noah's time, the few folks still indwelt by Him, would have been Noah, his helpers who died in the tumults during construction, Noah's wife & obedient two sons and three daughters in law.  The rest were spiritually as outside abiding in the Holy Ghost & Christ & Father God as they were physically outside the ark.

An absolute : going from the known to uncover the unknown >

Luke 17:

20 ¶  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22  And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
23  And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
24  For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25  But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

(until the 2nd Coming the kingdom of God remains internal for the people of Earth - God's desired style of relationship with Him, built within and lived out toward others, or lack there of will divide His followers / children, and professed followers/professed children and become greated divide as 2nd Coming gets closer. )

20 ¶  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

23  And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

( The calls to follow here or follow there will become more frequent and attract more attention - all such guru's, groups, are not designed by God, but rather by Satan to lure into sinkable boats, long enough for the great ship of abiding sucessfully in God's provided pavillion of supernatural protection, to have closed the doors and sailed away from port. )

25  But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

( It is humanly easier to cause Christ to suffer longer because of our sins and our rejections of His calls to denial of selfishness and grasp His hand by faith and follow higher by climbing upon His stairsteps of conditions and promises through sequencial obedience, praying through each heart issue till "no I won't" becomes "not my will by thine be done", and now obeying in attitude and trying to physically obey what we are changed into now having willing to do or no longer do, to become what we were not, but what He wants us to be and offers His hand of experience and ability to assist with.  )

26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27  They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

In noah's day God had human beacons, shining in a spiritually dark world, some of whom were so encouraged by Noah's fidelity they joined themselves to God's task of building the boat, and ended their lifespan in faithfulness, or died for their faith. God kept the eight alive in the midst of all the tumult and controversy, and one was a foolish virgin / judas in the camp, 7 were faithful, even Noah displayed delayed weakness after the flood, <wine> which he later overcame.  But the Holy Spirit was in them <the 7 > and working through them, and dispite the few humans who chose to obey God and be saved in the process, seeds, roots, tubers, grain, etc, and the animal species were saved, even though the humans were defiant. The Holy spirit used human followers / believers to rescue the willing / obedient.

That ought be the goal of  morning evening personal devotions prayer.

Such needs identifying : what such personal devotions prayer, would need to be and focus on, to create that in a person , even if a new believer.

Now a Bible study series needs created, to teach how to have, maintain, put to use such a union with God.

This is what Enoch followed, and there have been Enoch's in every generation, God still convicts, empowers, teaches. leads.

..............................

BUT Where is the unity of believers if only one believer seeks this, studies prays, yearns, chooses, acts, fails, convicted repents grasps by faith gets back up, tottering but in faith and hope, learns, composes, but only one believer posts ?

.................................

Come to my aid, pray, search, seek, read with heart hunger and believe what God has said, don't just read and go away, post how God has taught you, where it is written, explain what you have learned.  It does not have to be much, it just needs to be something.   it was in struggling with the heavy hard timbers for 120 years Noah and HELPERS built the huge boat and finished it IN TIME.

1 Peter 3:20  Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Yes there were 8 people saved by water, but Ham was a traitor to the family .

Genesis 9:22  And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

That's why I said 7 instead of 8.

start of Bible Study.

Q.  in the Bible did people ever pray to God each morning and evening, and sometimes more often in the same day ?  Who were they ?

 A.    Psalms 32:    ( David )

1 ¶  « A Psalm of David, Maschil. » Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2  Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

3  When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

4  For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

5  I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

6  For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

7 ¶  Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

9  Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

10  Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

11  Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Psalms 55:17  Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.     ( David )

Matthew 14:23  And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.   ( Jesus )

Nehemiah 1:6  Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my fathers house have sinned.    ( Nehemiah )

Daniel 6:10  Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

( Daniel )

Mark 1:35  And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
