Bonus question: In describing the fallen nature that Jesus took when becoming a man, does it refer to being spiritually fallen (sinful) or physically fallen (weak)?
There is no specific reference to categories of fallen nature e.g. spiritual or physical. It says mans nature. Jesus was to take upon himself mans nature, humble himself as a man, and suffer the temptations of Satan. (4.1)
As a human being, Jesus required physical and spiritual food as explained in Deuteronomy. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. (Deuteronomy 8:3) It was essential that Jesus was spiritually prepared for the battle with Satan. The Holy Spirit had fitted him for that special scene of fierce temptations. (4.7) And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (Luke 4:1)
