I see that I was accused of rejecting the Holy Spirit but nobody responded to my last post. I am issuing a challenge to all of you here. I have a 110 page document showing the following:

Four basic responses by SDA members would give to me about the Trinity in Adventism

1)      That the Trinity issue is a side issue to be placed somewhere alongside the feast days in importance. If you read this paper through you will never believe this again. Who you worship is the main theme of the three angels messages.

2)      That there is an Adventist Trinity which is different from the Catholic Trinity, in fact that it was more like the Heavenly Trio which Ellen White preached. This was the most deceptive one for me to work through; it took me a long time to get to the bottom of this one.

3)      That this issue had already been decided by the church a long time ago. This is at best a half-truth!

4)      That Ellen White had become a Trinitarian or was well on her way to becoming one and therefore this gave us confidence to do the same.

The basic teaching and logic used by the SDA leadership concerning the pioneers non-Trinitarian stance.

The first three is the path of logic used by certain leaders as to why the SDA church eventually became orthodox Trinitarians. The last three are what I have come to believe as the truth

1)      The Pioneers came out of Babylonian churches and were bible and bible only

2)      This got them into trouble with the other churches because they took the bible as it reads and built the doctrine of God thus becoming semi-Arians

3)      After many years they finally purged the Trinity doctrine of so called Greek philosophy they eventually found a biblical Trinity; growing in their understanding

4)      The modern SDA biblical Trinity is no matter how you slice it an assumed unbiblical doctrine, in other words it is not explicit in the bible nor can it be proven from it

Out of massive frustration and pain I created this to answer the above issues that I have constantly faced in speaking to SDAs. It is non offensive to EW and I use her in it a long with others. I believe it is a document unlike any other that puts it all together in under a hundred pages. Thanks alan delillo
