The annual Autumn Council is being held at the General Conference headquarters now.

Some are calling this the most important Council in many years, as the subject of what to do with rebellious Conferences/Unions/Divisions comes up.

Personally, I doubt anything of substance will be done, except to kick the can down the road.  That has been standard practice in our SDA Church for decades now - to let the rot grow from within, as no one wants to take the necessary action to cut the rot out.

Surely the leaders need our prayers, but even more, they need to be voted out, and Brethren of faithfulness to the words of God need to be voted in.

Aren:t there any Phineas-like people in the camp?

Well, from reports I:ve read, it looks like the delegates at the Annual Council decided to kick the can down the road for another year on the subject of what to do with Church entities that are out of compliance with church policy.

And that:s what:s sad about the issue - it isn:t so much about what God wants, but what does policy say.

So while I:m in agreement that the rebellious ones pushing Women:s Ordination need to be dealt with promptly, I:m not in favor of making it out to be a *policy* battle.

Mark my words, the Liberals in the church will stop at nothing to get their way, and they will take over the General Conference, probably by 2020.

Looks like God will have to "shave' the Church with persecution or affliction.
