Daniel,

You sound like my theology professors did at Walla Walla College when you say that "the Holy Spirit is not just a force."  Do you have any thoughts of your own or have you been talking to Larry Kirkpatrick again?  This party line simply shifts the discussion back onto trinitarian grounds.  If the holy spirit is "not just a force" then please tell us all what it is.  It seems that after reading your talking points you have ben leavened by the Evangelicals of our denominiation.  In passing, I will quote EG White:

" It is not essential for us to be able to define just what the Holy Spirit is. Christ tells us that the Spirit is the Comforter, "the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father." It is plainly declared regarding the Holy Spirit that, in His work of guiding men into all truth, "He shall not speak of Himself." John 15:26; 16:13.

 {AA 51.3}
     The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Men cannot explain it, because the Lord has not revealed it to them. Men having fanciful views may bring together passages of Scripture and put a human construction on them, but the acceptance of these views will not strengthen the church. Regarding such mysteries, which are too deep for human understanding, silence is golden.  {AA 52.1}"

 Yes, i know that is what Trinity doctrine expounders in centuries gone by said.  It is gross, disgusting, and a great misrepresentation of our God. However, that is NOT the commonly accepted view of those who use this term "Trinity" today.  Ask some Baptists, Methodists, AG, or even Catholics, and probably over 90% of the people will say they view this term to mean that there are 3 beings who are rightly called God - The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Daniel,

In this quote you reveal something of vital importance.  You say trinity is gross and disgusting yet we have chosen the same term to describe our God.  Is this not offensive to you?  It should be!!!Do you think that God's people should be following those denominations you referenced?  If not, then why have we used the same term to characterize the beings of the Godhead?  Could it be that you are defending this term because others in our denomination are doing it whom you have high esteem for?  This is not a good practice if it is true.

I have seen some people go clear out of the faith once delivered to our fathers over this anti-trinitarian doctrine.  They fight against themselves, excommunicating everyone who doesn't believe exactly as they do, while they cannot agree even among themselves.  I pray you do not fall into that trap, but that you will stand tall with God's remnant people.  Again, i appreciate the dialog, and am willing to learn more at the feet of our Redeemer and loveliest among 10,000 - the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Daniel,

Do you think I intend to leave a religion I gave up the world for?  If I leave it is not because I have abandoned any of the other teachings of the remnant.  It would be because those who sit in the high places of our denomination have this one doctrine that throws a veil of darkness over the sparkling gems of truth the Lord has given through the third angel.  You are right, there is a battle going on, and it is not time to give up. I would contend with you that the remnant and the SDA corporate Church are two different entities.  It was the Lord Himself who said, not all who are called Israel are Israel.

I'm glad that you haven't left the church.  Try and work with in while there is some time left.  Soon, you won't have a choice as they will close the churches.  Then the church will only be believers meeting in small groups.

This is already the case Newbie.  If you understand why people are leaving the SDA Church, you will see that meeting in small groups is a better idea while heresy and indifference is being promoted at the local church.
